MNC TV or previously known as the TPI (Televisi Pendidikan Indonesia), is a private television station which was established by Tutut Suharto, daughter of former Indonesian president, Seoharto. TPI began broadcasting on january 23, 1991. As is known, MNC has officially changed the name of TPI to MNCTV as of 20 October 2010. The reason for this name change is based on commercial grounds to raise revenue.
