VII. Suharto - Baharuddin Jusuf Habibie (1998)
During this leadership, Soeharto resigned on May 21, 1998 because of the insistence of the people who want reform. Government delegated to the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, BJ Habibie.
VIII. Baharuddin Jusuf Habibie (1998 - 1999)
When Suharto stepped down in 1998, his position was replaced by BJ Habibie. Because of "UUD 1945" (before amended) does not explain about the vacancy of vice president, then this position remains empty. Habibie is a Vice President and also President of Indonesia with the shortest tenure.
